August in Review

I honestly can’t believe August has come and gone. Fall is without a doubt my favorite time of year, but I’m not ready for summer to be over just yet. I feel like our nice weather JUST started here in the Pacific Northwest!

In case you are new to Design, Dining + Diapers or you just missed a post, here is a quick recap of what happened in August around here.

We started out the month by celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary and in honor of the Big Day I shared some of our DIY Wedding Projects with you…

…you all loved the “Tears of Joy” Tissue Holder Favor so much (thank you, I’m flattered), that I showed you a quick down and dirty tutorial here

…next up were my thrifty finds at the Goodwill, I still can’t believe I snagged this pair for only $1.30!

I haven’t done anything with them just yet, because I’m waiting for the family room redo get underway. I shared some of my inspiration for the room with you and I’m FINALLY starting work on it (so excited!)…

…since my work on my family room was delayed, I decided to make some decorative magnets out of old buttons to go in the kitchen…

…and while I was in the kitchen I got a little hungry so I made a delicious Chicken Poppy Seed Salad to top off a warm summer evening…

…at the end of the month I started a new series called Top 10 Tuesday where each week I’ll feature some of my favorite things and random thoughts. First up was a list of my Top 10 Favorite Baby Gifts

…and the this week I shared some of my Tips for Living Gluten-Free

and last but not least, I shared with you a Beach Themed Money Tree that we made for my cousin and her new husband!

There ya have it folks. It was a busy month and I’ve got a lot more in store for September!
