I normally wait until New Year’s Day to take down our Christmas decor, but our poor tree hardly made it through Christmas this year so we decided to put it out of its misery. And now that the holiday decor is packed away, I’m feeling completely over the holidays and it’s not even January yet! Such a strange feeling. What about you? Do you take everything down the day after Christmas or do you wait until the new year?
Since I’m wrapping up Christmas in my home, I thought I should wrap up things around here too! Back in November, I shared with you the Pretty ‘n’ Pink Tutu I made Baby E for her 6 month photos and hinted that there MAY be a holiday version coming soon. Well, I finally did it! Just in time for Santa pics and Christmas morning. I tend to procrastinate when it comes to projects and this was no exception, but in the end everything turned out perfect. Just like it always does! (Riiiiiiiiight)
Back in October, my mom and I found this adorable Santa outfit for Baby E at a little boutique near the family beach cabin. The minute we saw it we knew E had to have it. So my mom wrapped it up and gave it to her for her 9 month birthday (yes, my mom gives her a gift for every month. Can you tell she is the first grandchild?).
To top the outfit off, I made a red tutu trimmed in white satin ribbon with a matching headband. I may be a little biased, but she looked pretty darn cute for her first Christmas :)
(Pics taken at my parent’s house)
She is such a girly girl already, always after sparkles and glitter :)
Her patience ran out, on the move again…
And I’ll leave you with a little family photo.
For a tutorial on how to make the tutu, you can find that here.
Wishing everyone a safe and happy new year! See you in 2012 :)

That is so precious! I love how different it is from the other tied tutus, the satin on the bottom really finishes it up nicely!
And such cute pictures too!
What a handsome family, and you are not biased she is really a doll.
Lovely family photo! And that is one really cute tutu! A very happy New Year to you and your family!
These photographs are so beautiful. But the center of attraction is little girl in red tutu. She look amazing in tutu dress.
Did you make the headband as well? If so, how did you do it, if you don’t mind sharing.
