I’m so excited to have the opportunity to share this adorable nursery with you today! Back in the fall, a reader named Sarah contacted me with a super sweet email about how her and her husband were inspired by Baby E’s nursery.

“It was hard for my husband and I to pick a design that we both loved.  He was actually the one that came across your website and we have been decorating the baby room ever since :)”

First, I am so incredibly flattered that Sarah used Baby E’s nursery as her inspiration. There are so many reason why I blog and having the opportunity to inspire just ONE person out there makes every second worth while :)

Sarah and I have been emailing each other over the past few months and I made her promise to send me pictures of the completed nursery. Well, I am SO glad she did because she did a great job with it. I knew right away that I wanted to share this adorable nursery with all of you!

Sarah and her husband did a lot of DIY projects for this nursery, so pay close attention to every detail.

My favorite part of Molly’s nursery is this beautiful hand painted tree mural.

Sarah’s best friend’s mom did the painting as a shower gift and added one of the most special touches! She turned the leaves into a family tree by adding family member’s names onto the leaves. I think this is so sweet and special.

The bird and the little owl are so cute.

Sarah was inspired by book slings that she saw on Pinterest and succeeded at her very first sewing projects with these cute yet functional book holders.

They used the same paint as the walls (Java by Eddie Bauer) to paint the stripes on the curtains.

The wall art was also a DIY project inspired by Baby E’s. And how about that dresser? It’s beautiful! When I asked where she got it, I was shocked when she said it was re-purposed! It used to be a honey color.

And this is a very sweet addition to the room. The rocking chair holds a lot of sentimental value. Sarah told me the touching story that the rocker used to be her Mammaw’s. She passed a few years back and  spent the majority of her last 5 years in that glider after she had a stroke. They painted it and recovered it for the nursery. What a great gift for Molly.

Didn’t Sarah do a great job?

Thanks for letting me share your little baby retreat! Best of luck to you with the new bundle of joy :)
