If you follow me on Facebook you’ll know that a few weekends ago I spontaneously decided to give our front porch a makeover. It’s been long over due but since I’ve been more focused on the interior of the house I’ve kept putting it off. Pretty good argument if you ask me. But alas, it only took one sunny Saturday to force me to work outside and jump-start the project!
I’m still making some final tweaks to the porch, but I wanted to give you a sneak peek at my new wreath! This will give you an idea of what the new porch looks like. Lots of white, rustic elements and of course gray (my favorite color to decorate with).
Part of me feels like it’s too simple but I DO tend to lean toward crisp and clean decor and once you see the entire porch, you’ll see how it complements the space.
I made a variety to white felt flowers and added a few gray leaves for some extra depth.
One thing I love about this wreath is that it can work for so many seasons. It’s great for spring and can easily be tweaked for summer and fall and may be even winter!
This was my first time making felt flowers and I feel like I ventured into a whole new world of crafting! They were fun to make and I love how each one turns out differently.
I can’t wait to show you the rest of the porch! More sneak peeks to come!

Cute little flowers :) I always see these types of flowers and never get around to making them. Maybe this time I will! :)

I’ve been sprucing up my front porch a bit for spring the last couple of weeks. It’s been so unseasonably warm that it feels like it’s June back in the Pacific Northwest! I know that I need to just soak up these moderate temperatures before the heat of the southern summer sets in. I’ve been adding just a few potted plants, pillows, and touches of spring…

I think the flowers will be more lovely if we put colors on them. Great work. I think that might work in replacing the flowers on my vase. :)
