Easter Bunnies!

Happy Saturday and Happy Easter Weekend! Since everyone is out having some Easter fun this weekend I thought I would have some fun here too!

I have a confession, I put up ZERO Easter decorations this year. I was so busy with Baby E’s party and our family vacation that it just didn’t happen. Plus, no one comes over to our house for Easter so I was lacking motivation.

Because I don’t have any Easter projects to share with you this year I thought I would share the fondant bunny cake I made last year for Easter (pre-blogging, excuse the horrible photography). It was my first time working with fondant and I definitely learned a lot! It’s not perfect but it was fun to try something new and the kids seemed to love it.

Yesterday, we took Baby E to get pictures with The Easter Bunny. I was completely prepared for a major meltdown. You know WWIII style, the type of melt down that makes you turn beat red and run out of the mall as quickly as possible. BUT to my amazement, she LOVED the Easter Bunny. All it took was my mom and I singing The Itsy Bitsy Spider at the top of our lungs and giving her toy carrots to play with. It was one of those moments when I took a big ‘sigh’ of relief and was so proud of my daughter ( and completely embarrassed at the thought that everyone in line just heard my awesome singing voice).

This weekend we will be celebrating the resurrection of our savior Jesus Christ. No matter how you celebrate this holiday, I hope you enjoy your weekend and are able to spend time with family and friends.

Happy Easter!

    Happy Easter and God’s blessings~

  2. I didn’t put up Easter decorations, either. I still have a pack of white noodles and chocolate covered almonds meant to be made into a white nest with brown eggs.
