I know I took some time off, but I’m bringing back Top 10 Tuesday! For a while, life got so busy that it was hard for me to stick with a blogging schedule, but I think I’m starting to gain some control again (maybe). This week I thought it would be fun to take part in Centsational Girl’s Kitchen Gadget link party so I’m sharing my Top 10 Favorite Kitchen Gadgets with you today.

I know I mentioned it before, but I’ll mention it again. I have the most amazing husband who does the majority of the cooking in our house. It’s not that I don’t like it, it’s just that he actually ENJOYS it and I would rather be baking anyway. I will say that I am getting better at. When we were first married it was probably a 10:90 split and now it’s more 40:60 split. So when it comes to talking ‘kitchen gadgets’ I fee a little on the inexperienced side, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have my favorite baking gadgets :)

Here are my Top 10 Kitchen Gadgets:

(Sorry I can’t seem to get the images bigger!)

1. The KitchenAid aka ‘The Queen Bee of the Kitchen’

We got our lovely KitchenAid as a wedding gift, it was probably the gift I was most excited about! I love baking with it, makes me feel fancy.

2. Apple Corer/Slicer

I’ve always struggled with coring apples so when I was introduced to this little gadget, I was completely in love. And still am. Cuts right to the core and leaves you with the most apple possible! Now if it only peeled them at the same time :)

3. One-Touch Can Opener

My mom is the one who told me about this amazing gadget. If you haven’t used it you are missing out. All you do is place it on top of the can, click the black button and it magically finds the edge on its on and opens the can. No sharp edges or anything. Oh its amazing. Pretty sure you save about 30 seconds per can too. Us moms need all of the extra time we can get, right?

4. Flexible Cutting Board

I think we go through 2-5 cuttings boards per meal in our house hold and these these cutting boards have saved my life a time or two! Since we are super careful not to cross contaminate my GF food with my hubby’s we go through so many cutting boards its ridiculous. I love these thin mats, they are so easy to store and don’t take up much room in the dish washer!

5. Cheese Slicer

I’m a fan of the real thinly sliced cheese, especially cheddar. So thin that it’s barely holding together. That’s my favorite! This cheese slicer gets the slices just perfect. Way better than the roller (know what I’m talking about?).

6. Simply Calphalon Nonstick 6-Piece Bakeware Set

ALL of my bake ware is Calphalon non-stick and I am obsessed. I’ve never used non-stick spray on them for ANYTHING and I’ve never had a problem. I love them and that’s about all I can say.

7. Martha Stewart Spice Rack

Ok so I don’t know if you would classify this as a gadget, but I love my Martha Stewart Spice Rack! We use a lot of spices when we are in the kitchen and this rack makes them easily accessible. Plus it looks pretty on the counter. I’m not one for clutter, but they look so organized and they actually don’t take up too much room.

So those are my favorite gadgets. They may be a little boring or ordinary to some people, but that gives you an idea of what my life is like in the kitchen. However, I’m not opposed to trying new things! I’ve been browsing around Amazon tonight and holy cow there is a gadget for everything!!! Who knows if they are really necessary or not, but they sure look fun.

Ok, so here are three gadgets I wish I had in my kitchen:

8. Jalapeno Corer

This is amazing, I hope it works as well as it looks. We cook with jalapenos fairly often and I have a horrible time seeding them. I lose my patience picking each seed out and end up throwing them in the mix making the dish extra hot. This gadget would save me a lot of time (and help my mouth from being on fire).

9.Pineapple Easy Slicer

I want one! The pineapple slicer creates beautiful spiral pineapple slices. I always feel like I butcher my pineapples and waste so much! I could really use this.

10. Microwavable S’Mores Maker

And I had to share this one because it made me laugh. How cute is this s’More maker? Definitely not practical and something I would probably use once and shove to the back of the pantry. But I bet it would be a hit with kids :)

So what’s your verdict? Have you tried any of these? I want to hear about your experiences :)

I put the pineapple corer slicer on my list too. I love your list, many people have talked about cookware sets. I think I am missing the boat.

I love seeing what other gals are using in their kitchen! I totally agree with you on the KitchenAid! I couldn’t live without mine, lol!
