On a typical night, I am up doing freelance work or blogging until midnight or until my eyes are so heavy I begin to see double on the computer screen. Sound familiar? So when it comes to a night time skin care routine…well, there is none. I normally drag myself from the office to the bedroom and crash within minutes.

I will be the first to admit this isn’t helping the aging process and I’ve recently even noticed a few wrinkles appearing on my twenty-something skin. Total wake up call! So when I was asked to review the éclos Skin Care Anti-Aging Kit I jumped at the opportunity. It was the perfect way to help me start a bedtime routine and give my skin some needed TLC.

éclos features Apple Stem Cells extracted from a rare Swiss apple which have shown tremendous ability to stimulate skin stem cells, encouraging aging skin to behave like younger skin. Plant extracts, vitamins and anti-oxidants combine with the Apple Stem Cell technology to help minimize the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and tired skin. Yes please!

In the kit I found:

Facial Cleanser Skin Prep- First mass facial cleanser containing high-potency apple stem cells extracted from the rare Swiss apple, Uttwiler Spätlauber. The purifying lather removes makeup and daily debris, helping to refresh skin and purify pores.

Cellular Activator Face Serum- Natural serum with high-end spa feel, and results. Lightweight serum nourishes skin cells, enhancing their ability to function like younger cells.

Moisture Therapy Regenerative Cream- Natural moisturizing cream that revitalizes skin stem cells, helping to tighten sagging skin and postpone wrinkles.

Restorative Eye Cream- Natural eye cream made with Malus Domestica Fruit Cell Culture*, which contains stem cells from the Uttwiler Spätlauber apple to stimulate skin stem cells, encouraging aging skin to behave like younger skin.

Instant Radiance Facial Scrub- Exfoliates dry, dull dead skin cells and enhances cell turnover and prepares skin to better absorb treatment products.

Skin Renewal Clay Mask- Cleanses skin, absorbs impurities, and helps unclog pores.

éclos Terry Cloth Head Band- I felt so fancy wearing the headband.

My thoughts:

For someone who is not used to using a lot of facial products, the kit was a little overwhelming. I had no idea where to start. I wish there would have been a little chart included in the kit that spelled out exactly when to use each product and in what order. But, like I said I am a little lost when it comes to this kind of thing.

I used the kit for one week and I noticed a difference in the way my skin felt. I loved the feeling of waking up to a clean and fresh face each morning (way better than removing yesterday’s make-up in the shower). I also noticed my little wrinkle start to disappear which was fantastic. Lastly, because I don’t sleep much I tend to get puffy eyes and the eye cream really helped take down some of my puffiness. Such a relief.

However, during the course of the week I did have a few skin reactions but I can’t say for sure if it was the kit or if it was pure coincidence. I think the cleanser may have dried my face out a little too much because I developed a few itchy dry patches around my nose. I tried to over compensate for the dryness by using the moisturizer cream more often which resulted in my my forehead becoming greasy and breaking out. Both the dryness and my break out subsided after I discontinued the use of the products.

Regardless of my one bad experience I really enjoyed using the products and it has helped me start a new bedtime routine. My favorite product was definitely the Restorative Eye Cream. Loved it. Through the experience I also learned that taking care of my skin can have both short-term and long-term benefits! Now one of YOU can have the opportunity to try this fancy little kit out.

Well, sense I am in my early 30′s (yikes!) I am definitely noticing the hereditary crow’s feet around my eyes! I am horrible at a skin care regimen as well but if it works, it would be really nice to feel good about the aging process :)

Hi friend! Great giveaway! I love that you are so honest about every single part of your experience with this product! I would be super super excited about everything in the kit, but the eye creams tend to be my favorite! Buttt then again serums are good too! And the headband… well yes, I like to feel fancy so that might be exciting too :) :)
