Giveaway #1 with Bob’s Red Mill & Chance to Win $2,500

Are you ready for a week filled with fabulous giveaways?! I’ve been looking forward to this week for so long and I can’t believe it’s finally here! Design, Dining + Diapers turned 1 last Thursday (woo hoo) and this week we are celebrating with a new giveaway each day! I’ll also be sharing some thoughts on my first year of blogging including my blogging story. So don’t forget to check back daily for your chance to win big!

I’m so excited to have one of my favorite brands here with us today. I love working with Bob’s Red Mill and you are going to LOVE what they are giving away today. But first I want to tell you about Bob’s Red Mill’s Spar for the Spurtle 2 Recipe Contest! The winner will receive a paid trip to Scotland and $2,500, say whaaat?! Alright who is going to enter?

Here are the contest details:

  1. Bob’s is inviting home cooks and professional chefs to submit videos demonstrating a unique recipe that makes use of Bob’s Red Mill’s Steel Cut Oats or Gluten Free Steel Cut Oats! Videos should be no longer than 3 minutes long and can include a savory or sweet recipe!
  2. From the entries, three finalists will be flown to Portland, Ore. to compete in a live cook-off.
  3. The winner of the cook-off will receive an all-expenses-paid trip for two to Scotland, including $2,500 in cash, to help represent team Bob’s Red Mill in the 19th Annual Golden Spurtle World Porridge Making Championship!
  4. The deadline to submit entries in the Spar for the Spurtle contest is July 20, 2012. Additional information and real time Spar for the Spurtle updates now through October 6, 2012 also can be found on the contest website, and Bob’s Red Mill’s Twitter and Facebook pages.

Rumor has it, they haven’t received many gluten free entries, which mean all of my GF friends out there better get cooking!

    I loved the GF oats … until I realized that I’m intolerant to all oats, even GF! :( I haven’t tried many of their other products, so I’d love to win!

    My favorite Bob’s product is the Mighty Tasty Hot Cereal — so yummy and a great GF substitute for cream of wheat!

    The GF Pizza Crust Mix. I used it for a veggie pizza that I took to church for a potluck and people were RAVING about it all night long and they didn’t even know it was gluten-free.

    I love Bob’s rice flour. I use it as a substite in recipes that call for a Tablespoon or two of regular flour (I’m gluten intolerant). Great giveaway!
