We all like simple right? Well here is a project you can do in less than 10 minutes, for less than $3. How does that sound?
I stumbled upon this idea a long time ago (can’t find the source) and now I’m seeing them pop up all over.
Painting plain wooden serving utensils is a great way to personalize your kitchen. Make a pair for you or make a pair for a friend, or both! These would make a fun bridal shower gift or an easy way to dress up your table. The possibilities are endless. You can see how they looked on my Santa Fe Tablescape here.
I picked up these serving utensils for $.99 a piece at World Market. I was shocked when I saw how inexpensive they were.
I was on a tight time frame for this project and didn’t have time to let each side dry, so I created my own little contraption to help them stand up. I know, it’s a mess. But it worked!
My little engineering project for the day allowed me to paint both sides of the utensils at once and they were dry within no time. Love working with Acrylic paint!
It was so easy and a little addicting. I think I might be making more :)
