It’s been a while since we’ve had a giveaway on DDD and this one is worth the wait! Do you love candles, air fresheners or anything that makes your home smell warm and cozy? Let’s get real, who doesn’t love walking into a house that smells inviting? And let’s take a second to talk about fall smells, shall we? Pumpkin spice, fresh apple and sugar cookies…. mmm another reason why this is my favorite time of year!
So when Scentsy contacted me a few weeks ago asking if I wanted to be part of their ScenTrend project I pretty much started jumping up and down and waving my arms around.
This year, Scentsy Fragrance’s in-house fragrance experts teamed up with prominent international fragrance houses to name the inaugural ScenTrend – the trendiest fragrance of 2012 – Pink Pepper. Because Pink Pepper is sweet and spicy, with warm, bold notes, it inspires a sense of renewed energy and coziness – perfect for transitioning into fall!
Scentsy sent me this adorable ‘Whoot’ warmer along with Pink Pepper Bars and 12 other fragrances. This is my first Scentsy warmer and I’ve been having a blast experimenting with all the fragrances.
I am so in love with my little owl warmer, I have had it on every single day since I received it. Over the past few weeks I have been experimenting with new scents and mixing and matching and I finally found one that just screams ‘fall’.
I tend to lean more towards citrus/fruity smells so I was instantly drawn to the Paradise Passion. I paired one cube of Paradise Punch with one cube of Pink Pepper and I was in heaven. That is an aroma a could have in my home year round. I loved it, but it didn’t scream fall to me.
So I kept mixing and matching and came up with my very own scent that has fall written all over it! Here is my custom scent: 2 cubes of Pink Pepper, 1 cube of Amber Road, 1/2 cube of Zephyr, 1/2 cube Paradise Passion. It sounds super overwhelming, but it was actually really nice. It was a mixture of both woodsy and rustic but had a little sweetness to it. And if it gets a little too strong, add a little more Pink Pepper, it tends to balance out any fragrance.

I think Pink Pepper Passion sounds inviting. But really you mixed it so I think you should get the pleasure of naming it. I love the name you came up with either way!

Mixing Scentsy fragrances is so much fun, but they do offer some holiday fragrances that are great by themselves. One of my all time favorite Fall scents is Autumn Sunset, which is a blend of Pumpkin and Cinnamon! I get so many compliments when I use that scent during the holidays! The new Scent of the Month for October is incredible too, it is called Mandarin Moon!
