I can’t believe Christmas is only 10 days away. Are you ready? I am getting there… slowly. I have a few more gifts to buy and a few more projects I would like to complete in the next few days. But if the projects don’t happen, I’ll save them for next year :)

Last week, I showed off my first Christmas Vignette and today I’m showing you how you can make your very own 3D NOEL Sign!

This sign was 100% free for me! I’m all about repurposing items from around the house and this was another one of those creations.

Supplies:

- 5 1/2″ X 19″ Pieces of Scrap Plywood

- Styrofoam Cranberries

- Acrylic Paint

- Multi-Purpose Sealer

- Hot Glue Gun

Start by making a 50/50 mixture of Multi-Purpose Sealer and White Acrylic Paint. Apply 3 coats onto the plywood, allowing 30-60 minutes between each coat.

I used my Silhouette to create my NOEL stencil. My letters are about 4 1/2″ high and fill the space of the board.

Trace the letters onto the board and remove the stencil.

Using your hot glue gun, slowly add the Styrofoam  cranberries to the board. I did one layer and then added a second to fill in the gaps and create another dimension.

And here is how my NOEL sign looks on my vignette! You can view the whole thing here.

Love, love, LOVE this! I totally though they were real cranberries. I didn’t know you could buy a container of styrofoam ones. Pinning this to do for next year’s Christmas decor for sure!

That is beautiful Taryn! And I am with you on your sentements about the families in Conneticut. I have to get back to normal everyday life – I just cannot dwell on it. Thanks for what you wrote about it and for posting as normal now.

I saw this featured at Knockoff Decor and I love it so much! I always look at the before picture for a while and try to guess what the after picture will look like and this was totally unexpected! The font gives it a retro modern feel while the berries warm it up a little. It’s awesome. Something I’d definitely want on my mantel!
