I often use the phrase, “If it wasn’t for the last minute, I wouldn’t get anything done”. Do matter how hard I try, I am ALWAYS working up until the very last second. I think it’s because I just keep adding more things to my to-do list, or may be I just try and justify it that way :)

Anyway, of course at 10:00pm on Thursday night I found myself staring deep into my craft room (aka our guest bedroom) trying to come up with some last minute Christmas gifts for the lovely ladies who work in the nursery at MOPS and at Church. I didn’t have time to run to the craft store so I had to use what I had on hand. And whenever I get into a situation like this I just turn to my Silhouette Cameo! AHHH such a life saver.

So after some quick brainstorming, I came up with these cute little Polk-a-Dot Christmas Boxes filled with candies. They would also work great as a favor for Christmas dinner or an upcoming party. And here is the best part, they only cost you about $1.00 each and you still have time to whip some up!

These little favors took barely any time to make and cost just under $1.00 each! Total score in my book, oh and they are pretty cute too :)

A few months ago I found this adorable Polk-a-dot scrapbooking paper at the craft store and had to have it. So glad I picked some up because it came in handy!

So here is what you need to make these little favors,

Supply List:

- 12 X 12 Scrapbooking paper ( You can get 2 boxes per sheet)

- White cardstock for gift tags

- Raffia (found at the Dollar Tree)

- Glue stick

- Candy (or filler of your choice)

- Silhouette Cameo

For the boxes I used this simple 3D die-cut found in the Silhouette store. The original box came with snowflakes, which are super cute, but I decided not to add them because the pattern was already enough. So without the snowflakes, I was able to flip one of the boxes and cut two on each sheet of paper which saved some extra pennies.

The gift tag pattern was one of the ‘free shapes of the week’ a while back, I honestly can’t remember how long I’ve had it and I apologize but I couldn’t find it again in the store. I used an 8X11 sheet of white cardstock and used the print and cut feature to create the tags.

I used a little glue to hold the boxes together and then stuffed them full of yummy candy. Isn’t the double sided paper such a cute surprise?!

And then tied them up with some raffia and a cute tag and they were good to go!

Each one came out to right around $1.00, candy included!

So if you still need some favors for this year, jump on it, otherwise pin it for next year :)

These are adorable! I got a Silhouette Cameo last Christmas, and honestly, I just haven’t used it like I thought I would! Maybe this will get me going with it. These boxes would be cute year-round with different scrapbooking paper. Thanks for sharing! PS – found you at Transformation Thursday
