Alright, it’s time to talk football! Now that we officially know the two teams that will be playing in the big game (the Seahawks SHOULD be playing, just saying!), it’s time to discuss the next best part. FOOD! If your game day parties are anything like the ones we attend, the second everyone arrives all of the women flood to the kitchen and start preparing their dishes. The problem is, most of the time we end up missing the first quarter of the game because the kitchen is so crowded and let’s face it, food prep takes time!

So this year I’ve decided to take matters into my own hands and come up with a plan that will help me come prepared so I can watch the game myself! When I think of food storage the first thing that comes to mind is Rubbermaid. So I went on a little shopping trip to stock up on some necessities. But before I headed out I printed off these Rubbermaid coupons exclusively found at Target.

It’s just so happens that Rubbermaid is gearing up for the big game and in January they are offering a coupon exclusively found at Target for their products. Nothing better than saving money!

Target has a large selection of both the Rubbermaid Easy Find Lids and TakeAlongs collection, it was honestly so hard for me to chose. I almost called my husband to get his opinion (not kidding). They have every size to fit your needs and both glass and plastic.

In order to make my decision, I thought about my game day dish and what I needed to transport it safely and keep it fresh. So I went with the big 3.3 l container with an Easy Find Lind and two sets of the 1/2 cup containers. These were going to work perfectly.

For the upcoming big game, I plan on bringing these little Homemade Tortilla Cups filled with Cowboy Caviar dip (recipe coming soon) and I’m so excited about it that I decided to give it a trial run and bring them to a party we were attending this weekend. I made all of the tortilla cups at home and prepared all of the vegetables ahead of time. Everything fit perfectly into the Rubbermaid containers and stayed so fresh on the way to the party!

Once I got to our destination, all I had to do was throw the vegetables and remaining ingredients into a bowl, mix and then fill each of the tortilla cups (recipe coming soon). It worked out so perfectly and it saved me a lot of time. I’m so glad I spent the extra time at home prepping so I could enjoy the event. And I KNOW this is going to help cut down on the food prep during the game.

And one of the other great benefits of these containers is that they have Easy Find Lids that snap on to the bottom of the container. So after I washed them out, I snapped the tops on and now I won’t be digging through the drawers to find them or leaving them behind at the party.

If you want to try out some of Rubbermaid’s latest products, they are hosting a Game Day Party Sweepstakes.  They are offering the chance to win an Easy Find Lids Party Pack, a 48Qt Cooler and $100 VISA gift card! To enter the sweepstakes readers must click HERE.
