Disclosure: This post is brought to you by Black and Decker. All opinions are 100% my own.

Today is a very special day! Two years ago today I launched this little blog called Design, Dining + Diapers! What a fun and crazy ride it has been and I couldn’t ask for anything more. I have loved getting to know so many of you over the past few years, I read every single one of your comments and I appreciate each of them. Thank you for making this such a fun journey. I can’t wait to see what the next two years bring :)

In celebration of DDD turning two, I have a very special giveaway with one of my favorite brands, Black & Decker!!!!

Let’s face it, who actually likes to mop the floor? Not me, that’s for sure. I’m actually going to let you in on a little secret, I hate mopping the floors so much that my husband does it (I know, he is amazing). Eeek! So here is the deal, in our five years of marriage the only mop we have ever owned is a really basic sponge one that requires a lot of arm strength to squeeze out the water, which is not one of my better traits.

Up until now, we (I mean my husband) would have to fill up the kitchen sink with hot soapy water and tip toe over the wet spots to get back to the sink to rinse the mop out and  finish the floor. Not the easiest task, which is probably the main reason why I can’t stand doing it. Soooo, when Black & Decker asked me to try out their Deluxe Steam Mop with Handle Control I basically jumped up and down. It was a dream come true for both my husband and ME, this mop might actually get me to start mopping our kitchen floors!

For starters, the set up is easy breezy. Just plug in the cord, fill the container with water and select your floor type. Second, the Steam Mop is super light-weight, even I can lift it from room to room and move it across the floor with no problem. It really made mopping the floor SO much easier. It glides!

Now that you know how easy it is to use the Steam Mop, you want to know how well it works? Here is how the micro fiber cleaning pads looked after steaming our kitchen floor. The top one was after the initial clean and the second was from the clean the next day. I’m not sure if I should be more disgusted with how dirty my floors were or happy with how much grit and grime the steam mop picked up!? Maybe both? The mop also comes with a carpet cleaner attachment and triangular pads for those hard to reach corners.

The pads are also reusable. I just threw mine in the wash with some bleach and they came out crisp and clean again!

In all honesty, this is a great mop. The steam makes a really big difference and the ergonomic design made it really easy for me to use. And yes, my husband is reallllly excited about it :)
