This has been a really long rough winter here in the Pacific Northwest. We have had more snow days than I can ever remember and it has been sooooo cold. Typically by this time of year we’ve had a few good warm patches where it can reach 65 degrees and feels amazing. But this year we are JUST now getting to the point where it’s not raining or snowing and it’s above freezing. Since I can now be outside for more than 20 minutes before I can’t move my fingers, I decided it was time that I get our back patio ready for spring!
Here is my Black and White Outdoor Decor on our back patio. I wanted a crisp and clean industrial modern look with a few rustic wood pieces. Pretty much my standard.
When most of us think of Micheals, we think of a craft stores that has everything. And this is definitely the truth. But they have also been rockin’ it in the home decor department. They have three home decor lines in the stores right now that range in style from Vintage Romance and Global Chic , but I fell in love with their Global Prep decor. If you like a mixture of rustic, modern and a little boho, this is totally for you.
I found so many great pieces to use on our outdoor patio for this year. I mean, these tall wooden pedestal candle holders are seriously amazing! They are so gorgeous.
Since all my decor tends to be on the neutral side, I like to bring dimension to the space by adding a lot of texture and greenery. I LOVE these tall faux tropical plants I found at Michaels. They are great quality and look super realistic and really bring that warm tropical look to this space.
These stoneware vases are on major sale right now! I love the muted geometric pattern, these would look good in with so many styles.
I really enjoy decorating the place above our fireplace. This year I brought in an old rustic door I had stored away and then added these beautiful black geometric mirrors to give the space more depth. Otherwise decor tends to get lost up there. Those rustic lanterns also game from Michaels!
Refreshing your home for spring is as easy as swapping out a few décor pieces or adding pretty faux florals. Michaels has everything you need to get started!
