I’m actually a pretty simple gal when it comes to gifts and things that make me happy. A morning cup of coffee, the feeling you get when you crawl into bed after a long day, fresh flowers , clean kitchen, my favorite treats and a delicious smelling candle burning in the kitchen. And if I’m being greedy, I wouldn’t mind a few minutes to myself here and there! Right, moms?! So if my husband asks, all I want for Valentine’s Day is one of those things ;)
So guys, if you are reading this, here are some ideas on what to do for your significant other for Valentine’s Day, and gals feel free to send this along!
Let’s start with the main gift. I am incredibly picky when it comes to the type of candles I put around my house, I want them to be classy and pretty, but also smell amazing. I have a candle burning on my kitchen island all day, every day. Even in the summer. I know my candles and I highly recommend these Chesapeake Candles . These are really great quality candles, the glass container is gorgeous and they have a color to match any style. All of the ones above are from their Alassis collection, an exclusive collection of fragrances inspired by sophisticated ancient scents that transport us back in time to early Mediterranean civilizations. The Lotus & White Tea is a beautiful blue, it would look gorgeous in a coastal home.
The candles already come in very pretty boxes you don’t even need to gift wrap them ( I know the men are going to LOVE that!). I simply tied an oversized bow around mine and it looked beautiful.
To create a real Valentine’s Day presentation, arrange the wrapped candle with a few chocolates or candies, and fresh flowers. It’s simple touches like this that make the presentation even more special and it doesn’t take too much effort.
This size box is the Large 2 Wick Candle, I think this is the perfect size to place around your home as an accent piece. This beautiful blush tone candle is the Blush Orchid and Plum scent. I tried this one already and it is a very soft blend of scents. It’s really pretty.
If someone wanted to surprise me with the gifts above in a clean kitchen, I’d be ok with that. :) This is the way I try to have my kitchen look every day, crisp, clean, with fresh flowers and a nice candle burning. I can’t say it always looks like this with three kids and two adults who work from home, but I try…
If you are looking for a larger scale candle, this is the candle I currently have burning in the kitchen, it’s the oversized 3 wick candle in Honey Suckle and Lily. I LOVE this scent! I am incredibly picky about scents, I like light and airy scents with a little sweetness to them, and this is perfection.
If you love candles around your house as much as me, I whole heartedly recommend these from Chesapeake Bay Candle. They made a great accessory and also smell amazing.
